CUSTOM DESIGNS & PROTOTYPING
Model and pattern making form a key element of contract manufacturing, necessitating new and unique designs for every project at hand.
Up to a few years ago, such task was exclusively based on manual skilled craftsmanship. Traditional craftsmanship has now become increasingly difficult to source, and therefore the company started to invest in more modern machinery and state of the art technologies, also due to the fact that custom work and prototyping has become more complex and demanding.
We invested in 2 complimentary assets, Qualified Manpower and New Equipment, including employment of engineers, digital technicians, a brand new 5-Axis CNC machine capable of a working volume of 24 cubic meters at a time, and a modelling paste machine to create high finish modelling and plugs.
To further maximise use of such investment, the company has also opened its doors to third party professionals that would like to make use of such facilities.
Custom Garage Door
Scope of work - To build a custom garage door camouflaged into a building structure.
Execution - A copy of the actual stone was used to create fiberglass panels to be used as a cladding over the structural frame work of the garage door.

Information desk at Malta International Airport
Scope of work - To build a custom design information desk as per designer renders.
Execution - The client provided a render of the information desk which was than scaled to the area of installation and build as per specifications dictated by client.
This was the first project where the company made use of the molding tooling paste and CNC support by means of a 6 axis Kuka Robot.

Euro Disney RC racer queuing pathway
Scope of work - to build prefabricated molds to be used as casting of concrete structure.
Execution - Silvercraft was tasked to build a series of casting molds as per design specified by the project. The design required to mimic a slot car raceway consisting of specified curvatures and pathways.

Interactive ceiling for Spinola Park, St Julians
Scope of work - to build a translucent ceiling in the shape of leaves.
Execution - based on the designs provided, translucent molds were created and joined together to form this customised ceiling.
